I hope this message finds you filled with hope and excitement as we share some incredible updates from the IQSEC2 Research and Advocacy Foundation!
Last year, we embarked on an incredible journey with our inaugural Strollathon event, a fundraiser aimed at making a real difference in the lives of those affected by IQSEC2. Thanks to your unwavering support and the dedication of our amazing community, we are thrilled to announce that we raised a remarkable $70,000!
These funds represent more than just a number – they signify hope, progress, and the power of coming together for a common cause. With this financial support, we are taking significant strides forward in our mission to provide relief to those impacted by IQSEC2.
One of the most exciting developments is our partnership with the Orphan Disease Center at the Pearlman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Through this collaboration, we have been able to administer grant applications to scientists worldwide who are eager to study IQSEC2 and share their findings with the broader research community. After careful evaluation, we are thrilled to announce that we are funding four groundbreaking studies that will deepen our understanding of IQ SEC2 and pave the way for innovative treatments.
But our journey doesn't stop there. We have applied for a grant through the Chan Zuckerberg Foundation. This opportunity has the potential to be truly transformative for our foundation, and we eagerly await the outcome.
Looking ahead to 2024, we are filled with optimism and determination. We plan to host another exciting fundraising event, continue our vital research efforts, and potentially hold a symposium for those affected and their families. Additionally, we aim to expand our educational initiatives, forge global connections, and fund even more research to unlock new therapeutics and treatments.
